Stark plays well in exhibition loss
MBB: The Racer Hall of Famer is in his first season with Hapoel Haifa BC
Jonathan Stark scored 15 points and dished out five assists as Hapoel Haifa lost an exhibition game today to Afula, 78-74.
This is Stark’s first season with Hapoel Haifa, a professional team in Israel’s top league. Hapoel Haifa finished 11th in the 12-team Israeli Super League last season. Their first game in the Super League this year will be on October 10th against Hapoel Jerusalem.
Next up for Hapoel Haifa is matchup Thursday with Kiryat Ata in the opening round of the Israeli League Cup, a preseason tournament that leads up to the start of the Israeli Super League.
Stark played for Orléans in France’s second-tier professional league last season. He averaged 12.3 points and 5.0 assists per game for Orléans.
