Stark scores 35 in Japan debut
MBB: He couldn't help the Ehime Orange Vikings advance in Emperor's Cup

Murray State Hall of Famer Jonathan Stark scored 35 points for the Ehime Orange Vikings on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough as Stark’s new team fell, 99-92, to Shinshu in the second round of Japan’s Emperor’s Cup.
This is Stark’s first season playing in Japan after a successful campaign last year in Greece. He started last season in Israel playing with Hapoel Haifa, but left in October after the conflict started between Hamas and Israel. He moved on to Greece and finished the season playing with Aris Thessaloniki.
Here is Stark scoring two of his 35 points today against Shinshu. (Video: @OrangeVikings on X)
Stark and the Orange Vikings will open regular season play in the Japan Professional Basketball League on October 5th.
