Terry says she has committed to the Racers
WBB: The 6'1 wing is the third 2026 recruit to publicly say they're coming to Murray

Two years after Sophie Terry posted on X that she had received an offer from Murray State during her unofficial visit, the 6’1 wing from Peculiar, Missouri has posted that she has now committed to Murray State.
According to her X page, Murray State was Terry’s first scholarship offer back in June of 2023. She chose the Racers over other posted offers from Belmont, SIUE, North Alabama, Omaha and Lindenwood.

Terry posted the following video on social media announcing her commitment:
Here’s a quick personality-profile video Terry’s AAU team posted last last year:
Playing for Raymore-Peculiar High School, which is just south of Kansas, City, Missouri, Terry averaged 17.5 points and 5.2 assists this past season as a junior, while shooting 34.3% from three-point range. She scored her 1,000th career points earlier this season. You can see highlights of Terry’s junior season here.
Terry joins Mary Grant and Alice Magnanini as the three players who have publicly committed to be a part of Murray State’s 2026 recruiting class.
