Dear Racer Nation:
It’s hard to believe as of May 1st, this little project of mine will officially be one year old. I can’t thank all of you enough for supporting me and RacerBasketball.com as we’ve built this thing from the ground up.
I’ve got a couple of housekeeping items I’d like to get to tonight:
It’s Spring Break, so the website will be going dark for the rest of the week to allow me to have a little R&R with the family. For those of you who are paid subscribers, I’ll be pausing your subscriptions so you won’t be charged for the rest of this week. We’ll be back ready to roll on Monday, April 8th.
As much as I’d like to stick my head in the sand for the rest the week, I’m sure as soon as I push send on this article, some news will break. Don’t worry, I’ll have you covered when it comes to that.
While you’re not being bombarded by my daily emails with content from the site for the next few days, I’m hoping you’ll do me a favor. As we approach the one-year anniversary here, I’m spending some time auditing how things have gone so far — what has worked, and, most importantly, what hasn’t. I’d love to get some feedback from all of you. What have you liked best about the site? What would you like to see me get rid of and pretend it never happened? What would you like to see in the future that you haven’t seen enough of so far? I can’t promise I’ll make the specific changes you want, but I’ll weigh everything and do my best to cater to you, the audience, as a whole. This site is for you, and I want you to get more than what you’re paying for every month. Please send your thoughts to Jeff.Bidwell@gmail.com.
I’ve got tons planned for this summer that I think you’ll enjoy — especially the celebration of 100 years of Murray State Basketball.
Thank you for all of your support in the last 11 months, and I can’t wait for the next 11 to be better than ever.
Go Racers!
Jeff
I like the podcasts as well as your articles. Definitely want to see more podcasts/interviews/articles on the NIL situation, going forward. Will be interesting to see if the program gets someone on board just for dealing with NIL and the student-athletes, as a bunch of the Power 6 schools are doing this.
I have absolutely no complaints! What I like best and am the most impressed about is how up to date and timely your coverage is! Your column is the key to my social success! My friends wonder how I stay so on top of the latest on Racer Basketball! Keep it going!
Best,
Marsha Tucker
