The date for Racer Mania is set!
MBB/WBB: You'll get your chance to meet both Murray State teams on October 26th
Murray State will host their annual Racer Mania event on Sunday, October 26th at the CFSB Center. Doors will open at 2:30pm and, as always, admission to Racer Mania is free.
There will be a different format to the event this year. Starting at 2:30pm, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the Racer women, get autographs and pictures with last year’s Missouri Valley Conference championship trophies.
“Racer Mania is the official celebration to tip off a new season of Murray State Basketball,” Murray State Women’s Head Coach Rechelle Turner said in a statement. “This annual tradition provides fans with the opportunity to meet and welcome our players, enjoy exciting events such as the 3-point contest, and feel the energy of Racer Nation as we begin a new year together. We also invite all fans to join us for our exhibition game on November 3rd.”
At 4:00pm, Murray State’s men will play their exhibition game against Northern State. At halftime of the men’s game, the Racer women will be introduced to the crowd, and then they’ll participate in a three-point shooting contest.
After the men’s game is over, you’ll be able to get autographs and pictures with the Racer men.
“We are very excited to get the season going and to introduce our team to Racer Nation,” Murray State Men’s Head Coach Ryan Miller said in a statement. “We’ve built a team that our fans can be proud of and to have Racer Mania on a day when we also play a game will make for an event not to be missed.”
Racer Mania is presented by The Murray Bank. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
