The Valley releases ESPN broadcast schedule

MBB: Murray State could be on an ESPN network as many as nine times this season

Once again this year, the Missouri Valley Conference and ESPN will use a wildcard selection process to determine the best game of the day that will air on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. There are nine dates on the calendar that will showcase one of these wildcard games. The conference, in coordination with ESPN, will choose the game that gets the national television spotlight about two weeks ahead of time.

Here are the dates and the group of games where one will be chosen to play on the ESPN family of networks:

Sunday, January 4th — One game airs on ESPN2, the rest on ESPN+

• Indiana State at Drake

• Bradley at Murray State

• Northern Iowa at Evansville

• Southern Illinois at Belmont

• UIC at Valparaiso

Saturday, January 10th — One game airs on ESPNU, the rest on ESPN+

• Belmont at Drake

• Northern Iowa at Bradley

• UIC at Illinois State

• Evansville at Indiana State

• Valparaiso at Murray State

Saturday, January 17th — one game on ESPN2 or ESPNU, the rest on ESPN+

• Drake at UIC

• Bradley at Illinois State

• Indiana State at Murray State

• Belmont at Southern Illinois

• Northern Iowa at Valparaiso

Wednesday, January 21st — one game on ESPNU, the rest on ESPN+

• Indiana State at Bradley

• Murray State at Drake

• Northern Iowa at Illinois State

• Southern Illinois at Valparaiso
