Two more Bears head to Transfer Portal
MBB: Three Missouri State players are leaving the program after Dana Ford's firing

Seventy-two hours after Missouri State fired Head Coach Dana Ford, two more Bears have announced they’re heading to the Transfer Portal.
6’6 junior guard Chance Moore made it official this afternoon, saying in a post on X/Twitter: “I want to thank Coach Ford and the MSU family for the opportunity and growth that I have experienced over the past two years. For my next chapter I have decided to enter into the transfer portal. I’m extremely grateful for the memories and friendships made!”
Moore started his career at Arkansas before spending the last two seasons at Missouri State. He was third on the team in scoring this season with 10.7 points per game. Moore also grabbed 5.3 rebounds a night, which was also third-best on the team. While he shot 41.2% from the field, Moore made only 29.5% of his attempts from beyond the three-point line. He scored in double-figures in all three games against Murray State this season, highlighted by a 21-point performance on February 14th in Murray.
Missouri State freshman guard Kanon Gipson also announced his intention to enter the portal. Gipson appeared in just eight games this year and did not score for the Bears.
Moore and Gipson join sophomore forward NJ Benson in the Transfer Portal. Benson, who averaged 8.6 points and 7.9 rebounds this season, entered the Portal on Tuesday.
