Valpo's Schwieger entering transfer portal

MBB: The sophomore forward was 2nd Team All-Valley this season

Valparaiso sophomore Cooper Schwieger is entering the transfer portal, according to TheVictoryBell.com’s Paul Oren.

Schwieger led Valpo with 15.8 points and 7.8 rebounds this season. The 6’’10 Schwieger also averaged 2.0 blocks per game. The 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors this season.

Here’s a look at the 16 players who earned All-Conference honors this year, and who is leaving due to graduation or entering the portal. Only six of the 16 are returning next year … so far. The transfer portal doesn’t officially open until Monday, March 24th.
