Valpo's Wright will test out transfer portal
MBB: The Missouri Valley's Freshman of the Year intends to test the market

Valparaiso’s All Wright, this season’s Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year, tells TheVictoryBell.com that he intends to enter the transfer portal, although he says he may end up returning to the Beacons.
Wright started 31 of 34 games, averaging 15.5 points while shooting 38.3% from three-point range this season.
The 6’3 guard earned a spot on the Missouri Valley All-Tournament Team after an outstanding week at Arch Madness. Wright scored 22 points against UIC, 29 points on 6-of-10 three-point shooting against Northern Iowa, and 22 points, making 6-of-12 triples, against Bradley in the tournament semifinals.
Wright joins Valpo sophomore Cooper Schwieger as entering the transfer portal. Schwieger and Wright were the Beacons’ two leading scorers this season, as they combined to average 31.3 points per game.
While he intends to be the in the transfer portal when it opens next Monday, Wright told The Victory Bell that he’s not necessarily leaving Valpo. Wright said, with the help of his agent, he wants to find out what his value is and move on from there.
