There are two major storylines this week for Murray State Women’s Basketball as Hoops in the Heartland gets underway in Moline, Illinois. From a team standpoint, the Racers will play Bradley in the opening round of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Thursday night. Individually, Murray State senior forward Katelyn Young is just 30 points away from becoming the program’s all-time leading scorer.

One of Murray State Head Coach Rechelle Turner’s mantras is #WeOverMe. When it comes to breaking the school’s record during the conference tournament, Young has made it very clear she embodies the selflessness Turner wants for her team.
