Young, Raiders win NBL1 National Finals
WBB: The former Racer great scored 10 points in the victory

Katelyn Young scored ten points to help the Knox Raiders beat the Cockburn Cougars, 93-72, in the NBL1 National Finals on Sunday in Australia.
Two weeks ago, the Raiders won the NBL1 South championship. The National Finals is a tournament of all the NBL1 division winners.

Young, Murray State’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder, chipped in with six rebounds in the win as well.
In the first round of the tournament on Thursday, Young scored ten points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked four shots in the Raiders’ 70-42 victory over the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.
On their way to the National Finals championship, Knox won 18-straight games. The Raiders were 16-0 in games that Young played in after arriving Down Under.
Before she left for Australia in May, Young said she planned to continue her career in Europe later this fall.
