Murray State Scouting Report
Today’s game is part of Racer Mania, presented by The Murray Bank. Doors will open at the CFSB Center at 2:30pm, and fans, at that time, will be able to get autographs and pictures with the Murray State women’s team. At halftime of the men’s game, the women’s team will get out on the floor and have a shooting contest. After the exhibition game is over, Racer fans will get their chance for autographs and pictures with the men’s team.
This will be the second of two exhibition games for the Racers ahead of their November 3rd opener with Omaha. Last Saturday, Murray State held off a late Xavier rally to beat the Musketeers, 75-70. Brayden Shorter and Fred King led the Racers scoring 15 points each, while KJ Tenner had 12 points, Mathis Courbon added 11 and Roman Domon chipped in with ten.
Murray State is expected to be without two Racers today due to injury. Head Coach Ryan Miller said earlier this week senior guard Ben Shtolzberg is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a stress reaction in his foot, while JJ Traynor is being held out for precautionary reasons as he continues to deal with a minor shoulder injury.
Ryan Miller played at Northern State from 1994-98, helping the Wolves to a #3 national ranking and a trip to the Elite Eight in 1998.

Northern State Scouting Report
This is the first exhibition for the Division II Wolves. Their final exhibition game is next Monday at Wyoming before they open their season on November 14th.
Last season, the Wolves finished the year 2-26 overall. This season, Matt Wilber has taken over the Northern State program after winning 224 games in 11 seasons as the head coach at NAIA Dakota Wesleyan University from 2013-24. Wilber spent last season on staff with the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury.
Northern State returns one player from last season that averaged double-figures. James Glenn, a 6’3 senior guard, started all 28 games, averaging 12.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.
I’ll have a ‘Ride Home’ podcast posted after the game.
