Reed says she's ready to be a Racer
WBB: The 6'2 forward from Indiana will bring size and athleticism to Murray State

Fourteen months after posting she had received a scholarship offer from Murray State, Katie Reed posted on X Friday that she has committed to the Racers.
The 6’2 forward from Washington, Indiana is now the fourth player in the 2026 recruiting class to publicly commit to Murray State, joining Sophie Terry, Mary Grant and Alice Magnanini.
According to her X page, Reed chose Murray State over offers from Akron, Belmont, Bradley, Central Michigan, Evansville, Florida Atlantic, Illinois State, Kent State, Marshall, Mercer, Purdue Fort Wayne, Southern Indiana and Wright State.

Reed averaged 14.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this past season for Washington High School, while shooting 44% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc.
Here’s a story on Reed earning Athlete of the Week honors from WTWO-TV back in February.
Reed earned a spot on the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Underclass All-State team, as the IBCA named her one of the 15 best non-seniors in the Hoosier state.
Having watched and broadcasted a few Washington games over the past three season on www.swinsports.com, I think Katie will be an outstanding player for the Lady Racers!
