Wood beginning pro career in Germany
MBB: The former Racer will play for the Tübingen Tigers in southwest Germany

Former Murray State guard JaCobi Wood has signed his first professional contract with the Tübingen Tigers in Tübingen, Germany.
"It's a blessing for me to have been given this opportunity as a professional with the Tübingen Tigers,” Wood said in a statement on the team’s official website. “I'm incredibly excited about everything that awaits me. I'm incredibly excited about this challenge.”

Wood finished his Racer career with 1,146 points, which is good for 34th on Murray State’s all-time scoring list. His 438 assists are the 4th-most by a player in a Racer uniform behind only Ja Morant, Don Mann and Lamont Sleets.
"I like his creativity on the (court), which is also reflected in his assists,” Tübingen Head Coach Henrik Sonko said in a statement. “He is also a good shooter, especially from distance. With his good ball handling, he will play an important role for our team on the field. His performances in college were very positive. We will now support and encourage him so that he can also realize and demonstrate his potential as a professional in Europe.”
The Tigers play in Bundesliga, Germany’s top professional league. Wood signed a one-year contract with the team, whose season begins in late September.
So excited for him in this new venture and for his wonderful family as well! I will be following him for sure! Thanks Jeff!
